HASBROUCK HEIGHTS – A Starbucks is looking to open shop at the site of the former longtime Houlihan's Restaurant and Bar, according to a site plan application filed earlier this year.

Starbucks Coffee Company is proposing to demolish the nearly 7,400-square-foot building at 5 Route 17 South and replace it with a new “under 3,000-square-foot” shop and drive thru.

Houlihan’s closed back in late 2019, citing the company's bankruptcy proceedings, after two decades in business there, The Bergen Record reported at the time.
